Mysuru, April 15: Central Heavy Industries and Steel Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy stated on Wednesday that the legacy of Yogi Shri Shri Shri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Mahaswamiji continues to inspire generations through service, spirituality, and social upliftment.
During the inauguration of the ‘Bhairavaikya Temple’ dedicated to Balagangadharanatha Mahaswamiji, Kumaraswamy emphasized that this event is not merely a formality but a true tribute to a life dedicated to humanity. The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, and several saints.
Kumaraswamy highlighted the transformative role of the Adichunchanagiri Mutt in education, health, and social service, earning respect and reverence from millions. Expressing gratitude towards the Prime Minister, he noted his humility in serving as a central minister and his commitment to work diligently for the nation’s interests.
Referring to Balagangadharanatha Swamiji’s legacy, he stated that through the principles of ‘Anna, Akshara, and Arogya Dasoha’ (food, education, and health), Swamiji illuminated the lives of poor children and families, earning a divine place in their hearts.
Kumaraswamy recounted Swamiji’s continuous efforts in spirituality, education, health, and environmental conservation throughout his life. Under his leadership, a small mutt transformed into a global spiritual center.
He remarked that Swamiji led a silent revolution in Karnataka in the fields of education, environment, and health. He worked tirelessly in villages to promote rural education and brought health services, previously limited to cities, to the doorsteps of poor farmers.
Highlighting Swamiji’s contributions to environmental protection, he noted that nearly five crore trees were planted under his guidance, now grown into large trees.
Kumaraswamy described Adichunchanagiri as a center of service, a shelter for the needy, and a blend of tradition and modernity.
Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Kumaraswamy acknowledged that his commitment, vision, and good governance have earned him widespread trust and respect across the country.
He urged people to draw inspiration from Swamiji’s ideals and the guidance of Jagadguru Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji to carry forward this legacy of service, spirituality, and unity.
