KTR Accuses Congress Government of Betraying Telanganas Citizens

Hyderabad, June 25: K.T. Rama Rao, the executive president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), accused the Congress government in Telangana of deceiving farmers, students, youth, women, and marginalized communities.

He claimed that people across the state are eagerly awaiting the return of BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao.

Addressing a meeting of key BRS workers in Sathupalli, Khammam district, KTR stated that the only task left for the people is to “oust the anti-people Congress government.”

He alleged that despite three ministers from Khammam district managing significant departments, the district has seen no benefits during the current government’s tenure.

KTR questioned Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s stance on crop procurement and reminded him of his previous promises made as PCC president. He asked, “If the Chief Minister now claims that Telangana can only procure as much crop as the central government allows, why did he previously promise to buy all crops and provide bonuses to farmers?” He accused the government of disappointing farmers by delaying procurement, neglecting the ‘Raitu Bharosa’ scheme, and failing to ensure fertilizer availability.

Referring to the functioning of the BRS government, KTR noted that KCR had deposited approximately ₹73,000 crores as ‘Raitu Bandhu’ investment assistance into the accounts of 72 lakh farmers. In contrast, he alleged that the current Chief Minister has made numerous trips to Delhi without benefiting the state.

KTR also expressed concern over the pending fee reimbursement payments and demanded immediate fund releases for students. He accused the Congress government of failing to fulfill promises made to students and unemployed youth, leading to widespread disappointment.

He claimed that the Congress government has weakened welfare and development schemes initiated during the BRS regime, including irrigation projects like ‘Sitaram.’

KTR asserted that while the previous government laid a strong foundation for Telangana’s development over ten years, the current government is reversing that progress.

Regarding party organization, KTR urged BRS workers to remain vigilant during the statewide Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign to ensure no eligible voter is removed from the list. He also encouraged party workers to make the upcoming digital membership campaign a resounding success.

Assuring full support to party workers, KTR emphasized that they are the foundation of every success for the BRS and pledged to stand by them.
