Mumbai, June 12: Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor paid tribute to her late ex-husband Sanjay Kapoor on his death anniversary. On this emotional occasion, she shared her feelings through social media.
In her Instagram Stories, Karisma wrote, “Sanjay, you will always remain in our hearts.”
Sanjay Kapoor, a businessman, passed away at the age of 53 on June 12, 2025. He and Karisma were married in 2003 and have two children, Samaira and Kiaan. The couple divorced in 2016. Following their separation, Sanjay married model Priya Sachdev in 2017. Meanwhile, Karisma has chosen to remain single, focusing on raising their children.
Karisma recently made her comeback in the crime thriller series “Brown,” which premiered on June 5 exclusively on ZEE5. She plays the role of Rita Brown, an Anglo-Indian police detective facing complex challenges, including addiction, past trauma, and public scrutiny. The series consists of seven episodes, each lasting approximately 40 to 45 minutes.
Directed by Abhinay Deo, “Brown” is based on Amit Barua’s 2016 novel “City of Death.” The cast also features Surya Sharma as Inspector Arjun Sinha, Soni Razdan, Jishu Sengupta, and Ajinkya Dev as Dheeraj Jaiswal.
