Mumbai, August 30: Actress Avika Gaur has opened up about her feelings following her elimination from ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 15.’ Being eliminated so early was not easy for her. Avika shared that when she watches the show at home, she often thinks that if she had been there, she could have performed better. However, she also realizes that watching stunts on television is entirely different from experiencing the fear, pressure, and adrenaline in real life.
Avika posted a lengthy note on Instagram, explaining how ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ has significantly impacted her life and perspective. She wrote, “After watching ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi,’ I realized something about myself. I find myself thinking that if I had been there, I wouldn’t have given up. I would have tried harder. I would have done better.”
In a humorous tone, Avika mentioned, “While comfortably watching the show from my sofa, I start feeling like an expert on ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi.’ But then I remember that I am sitting in my comfortable environment, without feeling the pressure or fear of performing those stunts. It’s easy to be a hero in a situation when you’re not in it. When something matters a lot to us, we keep replaying it in our minds, imagining different decisions, and creating a version of the story that never happened.”
Avika expressed that this is perhaps why it has been difficult for her to fully let go of her early elimination. Deep down, she still feels like the girl who believes she had much to offer. “Maybe I really did. But I must also understand that living in this mindset continuously isn’t right. It’s one thing to believe you had the potential to do better and another to remain in that world all the time.”
She recalled, “When I first participated in the show, I was only 21. At that time, the show helped me view myself and my future differently. I entered the show intending to face my fears and perform stunts, but I emerged with a deeper understanding of myself.”
Avika emphasized her belief in hard work, preparation, and creating the life she desires. “Therefore, accepting something that is entirely out of my control has been difficult and, to be honest, heartbreaking,” she stated.
She further added, “Sometimes, a person gives their all for something, yet the outcome isn’t what they envisioned. Perhaps closure doesn’t mean determining whether you deserved to stay on the show or if you could have done better. True closure is accepting that the story didn’t end the way we had written it in our minds.”
It is worth noting that Avika’s journey on ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 15’ ended in the second week. She faced off against social media influencer Orhan Awatramani, known as Ori, in the elimination stunt. Ori completed the stunt in about 10 minutes, while Avika took over 13 minutes, leading to her exit from the show.
