This time, MasterChef India featured Karishma Kapoor, the eldest daughter of the Kapoor clan, as a special guest, bringing the family’s food legacy to the forefront.

Karishma Kapoor spoke about how, for her family, food is much more than just a meal. It represents love, cherished memories, and moments spent together. The special episode celebrated the Kapoor family’s favourite classic Indian dishes, challenging contestants to create MasterChef-level innovative dishes while preserving the authentic flavours and essence of these traditional recipes.

Chef Ranveer Brar set the tone by emphasising, “The dish must capture the soul of the Kapoor family’s heritage, maintaining the originality of these classic Indian dishes while presenting them with a MasterChef flair.”

Expressing her passion beyond acting, Karishma shared, “Acting is my first love, and food is my second, as it carries forward the legacy of the Bollywood Kapoor family.”

She also highlighted the emotional connection tied to the family’s food. “Our family meals have always been about love, memories, and togetherness. Sharing my family’s affection through food in the MasterChef India kitchen was a proud moment. It’s heartening to see contestants from across the country bring their stories and flavours, making this show a true celebration of pride. Their creativity, innovation, and confidence inspire all,” Karishma added.
