July 17 Panchang: Worship of Lord Ganesha and Mother Parvati is Auspicious

New Delhi, July 16: The Panchang holds significant importance in Hinduism. Before undertaking any auspicious work, travel, investment, or rituals, it is customary to consult the Panchang. This calendar system is based on the positions of the sun, moon, and other celestial bodies.

On July 17, 2026 (Friday), the third day of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Ashadha will last until 6:28 AM. Following this, the fourth day will commence. Due to the occurrence of Vinayak Chaturthi, worshipping Lord Ganesha (Aniruddha Vinayak) and Mother Parvati on this day will be highly beneficial.

Sunrise will occur at 5:55 AM, and sunset will be at 7:11 PM. The moon will rise at 8:44 AM and set at 9:39 PM. According to the Panchang, on July 17, 2026, the sun will transit through the Punavasu Nakshatra, while the moon will be in the Magha Nakshatra until 6:34 PM.

On this day, the Harshan Yoga will not be effective. Instead, the ‘Vyatipat’ Yoga will prevail. The Abhijit Muhurat, considered the most auspicious time of the day, will be from 12:06 PM to 12:59 PM. It is believed that during this period, one can initiate important tasks, rituals, or business ventures without concern for Rahu Kaal or other inauspicious times.

Rahu Kaal will occur from 10:44 AM to 12:27 PM, while Gulika Kaal will be from 7:00 AM to 8:42 AM. Yamagand Kaal will take place from 3:52 PM to 5:31 PM. Traditional beliefs suggest avoiding the commencement of new activities during these times, as they are considered inauspicious.

On July 17, the sun will enter the Cancer zodiac sign, while the moon will predominantly be in the Leo sign. There will be a directional obstacle (Disha Shool) in the west on this day. According to astrology and Vastu, it is advisable to avoid traveling in this direction. If travel is unavoidable, specific astrological remedies should be followed before departure.
