New Delhi, September 18 (Daily Kiran) : The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare organized several events to mark World Patient Safety Day 2026 on September 18 in New Delhi. The ministry shared highlights of the day through its official social media account, emphasizing the commitment to safe and quality healthcare.
During the event, Union Health Minister JP Nadda stressed the importance of cleanliness and infection prevention in healthcare settings. He remarked that patient safety forms the foundation of healthcare services and should be prioritized in hospitals. Nadda reinforced the idea that “cleanliness is service,” urging all health institutions to adopt this mindset.
In a previous post, the minister reviewed the advancements in the healthcare sector in Madhya Pradesh, praising the state’s efforts to expand health services through a public-private partnership (PPP) model. He noted that the state has significantly enhanced its medical education infrastructure, increasing the number of MBBS seats to 6,120. This expansion aims to provide more opportunities for youth to become doctors and address the shortage of medical professionals in the region.
According to the ministry, Madhya Pradesh has made substantial progress in medical education, further solidifying its commitment to delivering quality and affordable healthcare services.
