
Ranchi, March 27: On Sunday, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren participated in the worship at the renowned Shri Ram Janaki Tapovan Temple in Ranchi, marking the occasion of Ram Navami. He was accompanied by his wife and MLA, Kalpana Soren. Soren extended his greetings and best wishes to the devotees present at the temple complex.
In his brief address to the attendees, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity to partake in the annual faith gathering at the temple. He noted the significant turnout of devotees for the rituals and highlighted the ongoing processions from various akhadas. He encouraged everyone to celebrate this festival with full devotion, enthusiasm, and joy, while embodying the ideals of Lord Ram in their lives to promote social harmony and unity, making Ram Navami a historic and memorable event.
The Chief Minister emphasized the temple’s rich history and unique identity, stating that steps have been taken to further strengthen this identity. He mentioned that beautification efforts for the temple are progressing rapidly. Soren urged everyone to pray for the swift completion of the temple’s enhancement. During the event, the priests of the historic Tapovan Temple and officials from the temple trust honored him with a commemorative plaque.
Soren shared images of the worship on social media. Earlier in the day, he also performed rituals at the Hanuman temple located within his residential complex and installed a Hanuman flag. In a message to the residents of the state, he remarked, “The life of Lord Ram inspires us to walk the path of truth, duty, compassion, and justice. His ideals motivate us to build a society where harmony, service, and ethics are paramount.”
Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar also conveyed his greetings to the people of the country and the state on Ram Navami. He stated, “On this auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, I extend heartfelt wishes to all citizens. May the ideals of Lord Ram—truth, righteousness, sacrifice, and decorum—continue to illuminate everyone’s lives. I hope this sacred festival brings happiness, peace, and prosperity to all.”
