Mumbai, May 30: Actress Janhvi Kapoor is gearing up for the release of her film ‘Peddhi’ in theaters. Having worked in both Hindi and South Indian films, she recently expressed her reluctance to return to Malayalam cinema. She shared her reasons in a recent interview.
After her role in the film ‘Param Sundari’, Janhvi admitted that the Malayalam language posed significant challenges for her. In the interview, she mentioned that following her debut in South Indian cinema with the Telugu film ‘Devara: Part 1’ in 2024, she now considers herself an actress fluent in multiple languages.
She stated, “To be honest, I want to learn all languages. However, the phonetics of Malayalam have been quite challenging for me. I don’t think I should work in Malayalam again because it is too difficult. It is a beautiful and lovely language, but I am much more familiar with the sounds of Tamil and Telugu.”
Janhvi Kapoor, who began her career in 2018 with the film ‘Dhadak’, has starred in notable films like ‘Gunjan Saxena’, ‘Mili’, and ‘Devara: Part 1’. She enjoys working in Telugu films and has expressed a desire to act in Tamil cinema as well. “I am truly enjoying working in Telugu films. I would also like to work in Tamil films,” she added.
‘Peddhi’ is an action-drama film, and its trailer was recently released, receiving positive feedback from audiences. The trailer showcases village life, hard work, struggles, and a passion for sports. Ram Charan plays the lead role of an athlete in ‘Peddhi’, who competes in various sports including cricket, wrestling, and running. Currently, Janhvi is busy preparing for the release of ‘Peddhi’, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, where she stars alongside Ram Charan. The film features a strong supporting cast, including Shiv Rajkumar, Divyendu, and Boman Irani.
This film promises an exciting blend of village atmosphere, action, and an emotional storyline, set to release in theaters on June 4.
