Jammu and Kashmir Secures Third Place in National Mission Karmayogi During Sadhana Week

New Delhi, April 18: Jammu and Kashmir has achieved third place nationally under the ‘Mission Karmayogi’ during the Sadhana Week (SADHANA SAPTAH), officials announced on Friday. This accomplishment marks a significant step towards institutionalizing continuous education and merit-based governance among civil servants.

This recognition reflects the planned implementation of reforms under the National Civil Service Capacity Building Program (NPCSCB) by the Union Territory.

Focusing on role-based capacity building, competency mapping, and optimal use of the IGoT Karmayogi digital platform, Jammu and Kashmir has shown remarkable progress in strengthening its administrative capabilities.

According to official data, 201,962 officials from the Union Territory have been connected to this platform, collectively completing 413,722 courses, with 274,511 of these being AI-centric.

Furthermore, 54,003 employees have completed over one hour of training, while 37,309 officials have engaged in more than four hours of training, indicating a deep involvement with this initiative.

The award was presented during the Sadhana Week convocation ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.

Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions, Jitendra Singh, chaired the event and honored the top-performing states, Union Territories, and institutions.

M. Raju, Commissioner/Secretary of the General Administration Department of Jammu and Kashmir, received the award on behalf of the government.

In a notable achievement, the Jammu and Kashmir Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (JKIMPARD) was awarded a special prize for being the first institution in the country to successfully complete Capacity Building Plans (CBPs) across all departments.

This sets a national standard for implementing the objectives of Mission Karmayogi at the state and Union Territory levels.

During Sadhana Week, the Union Territory administration ensured active participation through a well-planned and closely monitored strategy.

Nodal officers were appointed to oversee the program and ensure compliance with NPCSCB guidelines while completing the designated training hours on the IGoT platform.
