Jammu, March 24: The police in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district successfully reunited two missing individuals with their families on Tuesday, bringing relief to worried relatives.
The police reported that, in line with their commitment to public safety and civil assistance, they located two missing persons from separate incidents in Katra.
In the first case, Anil Kumar Tripathi, son of Amar Nath Tripathi from Barra, Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh), had gone missing and was found wandering in the Katra market area. Upon noticing his condition, police teams initiated an investigation to establish his identity and locate his family.
After persistent efforts, the family from Kanpur was successfully traced. Following the completion of all necessary legal formalities, Anil was safely handed over to his family.
In another incident, a nine-year-old girl, Dhatri Dwivedi, who had lost contact with her family, was brought to the Katra police station by local citizens. The police team promptly began efforts to locate her family. After continuous searching and verification, they successfully traced her family.
Once the required formalities were completed, the girl was safely reunited with her parents.
The Reasi district police appreciated the cooperation of the public in both cases and reiterated their commitment to ensuring the safety of residents and visitors.
The police urged citizens to report any missing persons or suspicious activities immediately to their nearest police station.
