New Delhi, March 30: The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Sunday that during a military operation on Saturday night, they eliminated approximately ten armed Hamas fighters in the Gaza Strip. The operation also targeted Hezbollah weapon depots and military structures.
The IDF stated on the social media platform X, “Approximately ten armed fighters were killed in the Gaza Strip, including one who violated agreements after being released under the ‘Wings of Freedom’ operation.”
According to the IDF, their forces identified a group of about ten armed Hamas fighters active in central Gaza during the nighttime operation. Upon identification, the IDF launched an attack to neutralize the threat posed by these fighters.
In a separate incident, forces from the 188th Brigade killed Ahmad Fayez Salem Abu Rida, a fighter who had repeatedly violated the terms of his release. His violations included crossing the ‘yellow line’ multiple times, sending money to suspects, and posing a threat to IDF forces. He had been arrested for involvement in suspicious activities during the conflict but was later released under the ‘Wings of Freedom’ operation.
IDF forces, deployed under the Southern Command, continue their operations to eliminate any threats in the area as per the agreements in place.
The IDF also claimed to have identified and destroyed a launcher in the Bekaa Valley, which was reportedly ready to attack Israeli territory. Nighttime strikes were carried out against Hezbollah weapon depots and military buildings.
According to the IDF, attacks were conducted throughout Beirut and other areas in Lebanon targeting Hezbollah infrastructure. These locations have been used by Hezbollah fighters to launch attacks against IDF forces and Israeli civilians.
The IDF emphasized that strict actions against Hezbollah will continue, as the organization has decided to engage in the ongoing conflict under the protection of the Iranian regime. The IDF is committed to ensuring the safety of Israeli citizens.
