Irans Foreign Minister Asserts Continued Missile Strikes Amid Rising Tensions

Tehran, March 10: Iran has made it clear that it is not planning to halt its military strikes anytime soon amid escalating tensions. Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated that the country is prepared to continue missile attacks “as long as necessary,” and currently, there are no plans for negotiations with the United States.

In an interview with PBS News, Araqchi emphasized that Tehran is not in a position to retreat under the current circumstances. He indicated that Iran’s military actions will persist as long as they are deemed essential for protecting its security interests. Furthermore, he clarified that the possibility of diplomatic talks with Washington is currently non-existent.

This statement comes at a time when U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that the ongoing conflict with Iran would “end very soon.” In response, Araqchi suggested that the situation on the ground is far more complex, making a swift resolution seem unrealistic.

According to Araqchi, Iran prioritizes the defense of its regional and national interests. He asserted that if pressure is applied to Iran or military action is taken against it, Tehran reserves the right to respond. He characterized the strategy of continuing missile strikes as a “defensive response.”

The Iranian Foreign Minister also noted that the prospects for dialogue with the U.S. have nearly evaporated. He stated that as long as military tensions and pressure policies persist in the region, creating an environment conducive to meaningful discussions will be challenging.
