Tehran, September 28 (Daily Kiran) : Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has lauded the bravery of women in his recent message to the nation. He emphasized that while the courage of Iranian men is well-known globally, women are now making their presence felt with remarkable strength.
In his address, Khamenei acknowledged the spirit of the Iranian people, noting that for the past seven months, citizens have been actively demonstrating their commitment to Islam, boosting the morale of those fighting for their beliefs and instilling fear in adversaries.
Khamenei stated, “Over 30 million Iranians have expressed their willingness to sacrifice their lives. When asked to confirm their readiness through a specific organizational effort, more than 500,000 people met the target within just 100 minutes. There was a time when the bravery of our people was recognized through their men. Today, we live in an era where women are surpassing men in many fields with their courageous presence.”
He further remarked, “In the past, enemies attempted to undermine the social foundations of our system. However, today, people from all walks of life, despite their clear differences, are standing firm to defend their rightful stance, including the commitment to secure vital areas like the Strait of Hormuz.”
Khamenei also claimed that Iranian forces have successfully pushed back “enemy forces” from the southern maritime region and are poised to drive them out of the Arabian Sea soon.
According to state media IRNA, Khamenei’s comments were made during a message commemorating the “Sacred Defense Week,” which is linked to the Iran-Iraq War, and the anniversary of the assassination of former Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in 2024.
He asserted, “After suffering painful blows from the brave forces of Iran and the security personnel of the Strait of Hormuz, the enemy no longer dares to advance beyond the Arabian Sea. Whenever they have taken such risks, they have only harmed themselves. The time is rapidly approaching when the Arabian Sea will be free from their presence.”
Khamenei’s statement comes at a time of escalating tensions between Iran and opposing forces in the Strait of Hormuz and surrounding maritime areas.
