Iran Warns Neighboring Countries Amid Rising Violence

New Delhi, March 17: After clarifying its stance on the ceasefire, Iran’s Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, has issued a warning to neighboring countries.

Zarif stated that countries allowing attacks on Iran are promoting genocide, which has already claimed the lives of over 200 children and hundreds of civilians.

He urged nations cooperating with the U.S. in these attacks to clarify their positions promptly.

In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, Zarif highlighted that hundreds of Iranian citizens, including more than 200 children, have been killed due to bombings by Israel and the U.S. He accused some neighboring countries, where U.S. forces are stationed and which permit attacks on Iran, of actively encouraging this genocide. These nations need to clarify their stances as soon as possible.

Previously, Zarif dismissed U.S. President Donald Trump’s claim that Iran seeks a deal with America.

In a post on ‘X’, he labeled such claims as “misleading,” asserting that Iran’s armed forces will continue to fight until Trump acknowledges the illegality of the war he imposes on both Americans and Iranians, and vows it will never be repeated.

He emphasized, “When we say we do not want a ceasefire, it does not mean we wish to continue the war. It means that this time, the war must end in a way that the enemy never thinks of attacking again.”

According to Xinhua News Agency, Zarif accused Iran’s adversaries of trying to force the country into “unconditional surrender” by mobilizing all their resources. He noted that over two weeks into the conflict, these adversaries are now seeking assistance from countries they once considered enemies and calling for international help to secure shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. Zarif stated that Iran only restricts movement for enemies and their allies involved in the conflict.
