
Chennai, August 22: A significant opportunity is emerging for youth seeking jobs in the banking sector. The Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) has issued an official notification inviting applications for a total of 250 Local Bank Officer (LBO) positions across various states.
The recruitment for Local Bank Officers (LBO) includes 100 positions in Tamil Nadu, 50 in Karnataka, 50 in Maharashtra, and 50 in Gujarat.
The online application process commenced on August 8, and the deadline to apply is set for August 24. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for the Local Bank Officer positions are advised to complete their registration on the IOB official website before or by the deadline.
Applicants must possess a degree in any subject from a recognized institution or university, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the central government. Additionally, candidates must have a valid mark sheet or degree certificate indicating graduation on the day of registration, and they need to provide their graduation percentage during the online registration process.
The minimum age for applicants is set at 20 years, while the maximum age is 30 years, calculated as of August 1. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on an online examination, a Language Proficiency Test (LPT), and a personal interview. Selected candidates can expect a monthly salary ranging from ₹48,480 to ₹85,920.
When filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is ₹850 for General/EWS/OBC candidates and ₹175 for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
