Lucknow, June 5: Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Sanjay Nishad visited Sitapur on Friday. He attended an event at the Bhumi Meeting Hall in the Sadar Assembly. Regarding the murder of a Ghazipur hotel owner, Minister Nishad expressed solidarity with the victim’s family. He confirmed that an investigation is underway.
In a conversation with a news agency, Nishad stated that he has discussed the matter with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Efforts are being made to take action against the guilty and assist the victim’s family. “Those found guilty will face consequences,” he assured.
Responding to the Samajwadi Party’s comments on the Ghazipur encounter, Minister Nishad remarked, “Criminals have no caste. They should be given a chance to surrender. If the police stand in court, how can the accused surrender? They should be encouraged to surrender and then taken into custody.”
He emphasized that every citizen has the right to speak, seek justice, and gain respect. An investigation is essential to uncover the truth. “I have always stood with society and will continue to do so,” he affirmed.
The Samajwadi Party has made serious allegations against the government. SP MP Virendra Singh claimed that encounters in UP are conducted based on caste and religion. He asserted, “Those from the PDA (Backward, Dalit, Minority) community are shot above the waist.” The SP alleges that Kamlesh Chaudhary was targeted due to his background and his association with the party. Three other accused individuals remain at large.
Meanwhile, Minister Sanjay Nishad took to the social media platform ‘X’ to share that he received a warm welcome from dedicated workers and esteemed officials during the event in Sitapur. He noted that the affection, respect, and trust from the workers is the organization’s greatest strength, inspiring continuous efforts for societal welfare. Discussions were held with colleagues about strengthening the organization and committing to public interests. “The love and respect from all workers always provide new energy,” he concluded.
