New Delhi, June 16: The investigation into alleged irregularities and misappropriation of funds related to donations at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya has gained momentum. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has arrived in Ayodhya to probe the matter. During this visit, the senior police superintendent and district magistrate of Ayodhya held a crucial meeting to discuss the investigation’s direction and further actions.
Saint Maharaj Bhaktcharan Das stated that the allegations regarding donations and offerings at the Ayodhya temple are currently under investigation. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has formed the SIT to look into the matter. He emphasized that if any individual is found guilty or if misuse of funds is confirmed, no one will be spared.
Swami Chidanand Saraswati, president of Parmarth Niketan in Rishikesh, mentioned that he has received information regarding offerings made to Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya. However, he clarified that an honest and vigilant government is operating in Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has promptly ordered the SIT investigation, and the truth will soon emerge. He stressed that the Shri Ram Temple is a matter of faith, not rumors, and Ayodhya is the center of Sanatan consciousness, cultural heritage, and the sentiments of millions of devotees.
On the other hand, Minister Narendra Kumar Kashyap in Lucknow asserted that the government is doing its job, and the investigation committee is addressing the Ayodhya case. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is capable of resolving every issue.
Meanwhile, Congress spokesperson Surendra Rajput questioned the formation of the SIT. He pointed out that the Yogi government has established over 89 SITs so far, but it remains to be seen how many cases have resulted in convictions. He alleged that SITs are sometimes used to protect those in power and shield individuals involved in corruption.
