International Womens Day Program in Madhya Pradesh Focuses on Rights, Justice, and Action

Bhopal, March 5: Preparations for International Women’s Day in Madhya Pradesh are underway. This year, the theme is “Rights, Justice, and Action” specifically aimed at women and girls.

According to official information, a special program will be held on March 8 at the Swarna Jayanti Auditorium. The event aims to facilitate women’s and girls’ access to their rights, safety, and justice. It seeks to raise awareness about women’s rights, simplify the process of obtaining justice, and strengthen an environment of safety and respect in society.

The program will feature discussions and awareness sessions on various topics, including information on domestic violence laws, legal aid models through justice forums, mental health, and cyber safety.

Social organizations will share their experiences and successful initiatives to present effective models for protecting women’s rights and empowering them. Additionally, domestic workers will convey messages of confidence, self-respect, and women’s strength through a power walk.

Notable speakers at the event will include Suresh Tomar, Secretary of the State Women’s Commission, DIG Vineet Kapoor from Community Policing, Special DG Anil Kumar from the Women’s Safety Branch, and retired ADG Anuradha Shankar, who will share insights on various dimensions of women’s safety and empowerment. The event will also honor women who have made significant contributions in various fields. Furthermore, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed between the State Women’s Commission and Ahaan Foundation to promote cyber well-being.
