
Indore, August 14: In a shocking revelation, the Lokayukta conducted a raid at the residence of Jitendra Pandey, an assistant revenue officer of the Indore Municipal Corporation, uncovering his status as a millionaire. The assets of this revenue officer were found to exceed his legitimate income by over 200%.
Sources indicate that the raid took place in Gajadhar Nagar, where Jitendra Kumar Pandey resides. The Lokayukta’s investigation revealed that during his 31 years of service, he amassed disproportionate wealth illegally compared to his declared income.
Jitendra has constructed a ground plus three-story building on a 40 by 50 plot in Anand Nagar Extension, Navlakha Chitawad, Gajadhar Nagar, Indore, under his wife Bhavna Pandey’s name, with an expenditure of approximately ₹1.2 crore.
Additionally, a hostel is being operated on a ground plus two-story building on plot number 32 in Gajadhar Nagar, Chitawad Gulmohar Garden, also registered under Bhavna’s name, costing around ₹91.5 lakh. Furthermore, Jitendra has spent nearly ₹14 lakh on purchasing four-wheelers and two-wheelers in the names of his wife, son, and daughter.
Throughout his tenure, Jitendra received an estimated salary of ₹80 lakh, while his expenditures were found to be around ₹2.5 crore, indicating a staggering excess of nearly ₹2 crore or 216.35%. Investigations are ongoing, and a case has been registered against him under the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act.
