Lucknow, September 20 (Daily Kiran) : An Indigo flight traveling from Bangkok to Delhi was diverted to Lucknow late Saturday night due to a medical emergency involving a passenger. Sources indicated that the flight was redirected after the passenger’s health deteriorated significantly during the journey.
According to airport officials, the flight, designated 6E1054, experienced this urgent situation when a passenger began suffering from severe chest pain and difficulty breathing. In response, the pilot decided to make an emergency landing at Lucknow Airport.
The aircraft safely landed at 10:52 PM. Upon arrival, airport medical teams and an ambulance were promptly dispatched to assist. Medical personnel boarded the plane to assess the passenger’s condition, which was later deemed stable.
After receiving necessary medical attention, the passenger was transported to Terminal-3 for immigration and other formalities. Following the completion of these procedures, the flight departed from Lucknow at 12:05 AM, continuing its journey to Delhi.
This incident follows a previous emergency landing involving an Indigo flight on September 10, which was forced to land in Ahmedabad due to a bomb threat. That flight, heading from Lucknow to Dammam, Saudi Arabia, landed safely after crew members discovered a note indicating a bomb on board. However, a thorough search revealed no suspicious items.
