Indian Oil Corporation Announces 1,450 Apprentice Vacancies

New Delhi, August 9: A golden opportunity has arisen for young job seekers. Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has released an official notification for the recruitment of 1,450 apprentice positions. The last date to apply for these roles is set for August 12.

The 1,450 vacancies include various positions such as 274 Trade Apprentices in the Chemical Plant discipline, 314 Trade Apprentices in Mechanical (Fitter), 327 Technician Apprentices in Chemical, 83 Technician Apprentices in Mechanical, 277 Technician Apprentices in Electrical, 70 Technician Apprentices in Instrumentation, 21 Trade Apprentices as Secretarial Assistants (Location – Panipat), 9 Trade Apprentices as Secretarial Assistants (Location – New Delhi), 2 Trade Apprentices in Accounting, 55 Trade Apprentices as Data Entry Operators (Freshers), and 18 Trade Apprentices as Data Entry Operators (Skill Certificate Holders).

The online application process began on July 14 and will close on August 12. Interested and eligible candidates wishing to apply for these positions can submit their registration forms on the official IOCL website before the deadline. However, candidates must register on the NATs/NAPs portal before applying.

Applicants should possess relevant qualifications, including a 3-year B.Sc. degree (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Industrial Chemistry) from a recognized board/institution/university, or an ITI certificate in the Fitter trade with a minimum of 2 years of experience, or a 3-year diploma in Chemical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, Refinery and Petrochemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. Additionally, candidates should have completed their 12th grade and hold a skill certificate in ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator.’

The minimum age for applicants is set at 18 years, while the maximum age is 24 years, calculated as of July 31. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations. Selection of eligible candidates will be based on application scrutiny, merit list, document verification, and medical fitness prior to joining. The list of shortlisted candidates for document verification will be released on August 20, with the verification process expected to take place between August 27 and September 3.
