
New Delhi, June 24: A career in the Indian Navy is a dream for millions of young individuals. If you are among them, an excellent opportunity has emerged. The Indian Navy has released an official notification inviting applications for various 275 positions under the Short Service Commission (SSC) for eligible unmarried male and female candidates for a course starting in June 2027 at the Indian Naval Academy (INA) in Ezhimala, Kerala.
The 275 vacancies announced by the Indian Navy include 90 in the Executive Branch (GS(X)/Hydro Cadre), 25 for Pilots, 18 for Naval Air Operations Officers (Observers), 15 for Air Traffic Controllers (ATC), 10 in Logistics, 14 in the Naval Armament Inspectorate Cadre (NAIC), 13 in Education, 24 in the Engineering Branch (General Service), 8 in Submarine Technical Engineering (male candidates only), 32 in the Electrical Branch (General Service), 8 in Submarine Technical Electrical (male candidates only), and 18 for Naval Constructors.
The online application process will commence on June 25 and will close on July 27. Eligible candidates wishing to apply for these positions can submit their registration forms on the official Indian Navy portal before or by the deadline.
Applicants must possess a first-class BE/BTech, ME/MTech, MSc/MA, MBA, BSc/BCom/BSc (IT) from a recognized institution or university, along with a PG diploma in Finance/Logistics/Supply Chain Management/Material Management or an MCA/MSc (IT), and other relevant postgraduate degrees.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on shortlisting for the SSB interview, the SSB interview itself, medical examination, and merit list. The initial gross salary for Sub-Lieutenants will start at ₹120,000. After completing training, candidates will receive ₹31,250 as a Pilot/NAOO and Submarine allowance.
