India Shines at ISSF Junior World Championship with Silver Medals

New Delhi, June 24: India continues to excel at the ISSF Junior World Championship 2026 held in Suhl, Germany, securing a silver medal in the 10-meter air pistol mixed team junior event. This achievement brings India’s total medal count to 16, placing the nation at the top of the medal table.

The Indian duo of Vanshika Chaudhary and Shiva Narwal delivered an impressive performance to clinch the silver medal. With this medal, India’s tally now stands at 16 (5 gold, 4 silver, and 7 bronze). The Indian team has consistently performed well in individual, team, and mixed events, maintaining its leading position in the championship.

Earlier on Tuesday, Shiva Narwal also won a silver medal in the men’s junior 10-meter air pistol event, while Yug Pratap Singh Rathore secured a bronze in the same category.

India added another silver medal in the men’s junior team event for the 10-meter air pistol, thanks to the stellar performance of the trio: Shiva Narwal, Sandeep Bishnoi, and Chirag Sharma, who finished strong on the podium.

The campaign received a significant boost when Pritam Kendre won a gold medal in the men’s junior 10-meter air rifle event, marking the country’s fifth gold medal in the championship.

Additionally, India earned a bronze medal in the women’s junior team event for the 25-meter pistol, thanks to the efforts of Anjali Mahendra Bhagwat, Parisha Gupta, and Nithila Ivy Darling Praveen Christopher.

The consistent performance of the teams in both individual and team events at the ISSF Junior World Championship 2026 showcases India’s dominance in shooting sports.
