India Secures LPG Supply Amidst Global Tensions: Ramkripal Yadavs Remarks

Patna, March 14: In a significant development for India, the LPG carrier Shivalik successfully navigated the Strait of Hormuz on Friday night, marking the 15th day of the ongoing conflict between the US-Israel and Iran. Bihar Minister Ramkripal Yadav expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister for their crucial role in alleviating the oil and gas shortage. He noted that their policies have helped the nation overcome a major challenge.

Regarding the appointment of the new Governor of Bihar, Syed Ata Hasnain, Yadav stated that the Governor has commenced his duties. Under his leadership, Bihar is expected to progress and establish itself as a developed state.

During a meeting at Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary’s residence concerning the Rajya Sabha elections, Yadav remarked that favorable conditions have emerged for elections after 12 years. He confidently stated that all five NDA candidates would win. He added that such meetings are a normal process that facilitates interaction with the public.

It is noteworthy that the Shivalik, capable of carrying over 50,000 tons of LPG, successfully passing through the Strait of Hormuz is crucial for India amidst the ongoing conflict. Currently, there is no shortage of LPG in India; however, due to global circumstances, many people are anxiously booking LPG cylinders.

On Friday, Sujata Sharma, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, mentioned that misinformation has led to panic booking and hoarding among the public. The average delivery cycle for domestic LPG is approximately two and a half days. To prevent diversion, a Delivery Authentication Code (DAC) system has been implemented.
