By 2024, 89% of new startups are expected to be AI-driven, and 87% of enterprises are actively utilizing AI. The Indian AI market is projected to grow at a rate of 25% to 35% by 2027. In 2024, India had a talent pool of over 600,000 AI professionals, with a forecasted need for more than 1.25 million AI professionals by 2027 at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 15%.
Various government initiatives and policies are addressing the unprecedented changes brought about by AI in the labor market. The NEP 2020 recognizes the potential of AI to drive economic development, tackle educational challenges, enhance teacher capabilities, and emphasizes the importance of AI-based education and personalized learning at all educational levels.
