
New Delhi, June 10: Leaders from the NDA coalition have congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in India. They highlighted his 12-year tenure as a period marked by good governance, development, welfare for the poor, sanitation initiatives, women’s empowerment, and India’s rising global stature, calling it a historic achievement for the nation.
BJP MP Swati Maliwal remarked, “Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a monumental and historic record that will be remembered for decades and centuries. He has completed 12 years in office, becoming one of the longest-serving leaders in our history. The Prime Minister has accomplished significant feats that were unprecedented in our nation, such as surgical strikes, the abrogation of Article 370, women’s upliftment, road development, and the construction of toilets and homes for the poor. His representation of India on the world stage has been unparalleled. I have prayed for PM Modi’s long life and wish for our country to continue progressing.”
Central Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal from Puri stated, “When Prime Minister Modi took office with the people’s blessings, he spoke about the Swachh Bharat Mission from the Red Fort. Looking back, this campaign has been highly successful. Children have also engaged in this initiative, raising awareness about cleanliness among the public.”
In New Delhi, Central Minister Jitendra Singh noted, “Prime Minister Modi has completed 4,399 days in office, the longest tenure for any elected Prime Minister, and it continues. Over the past 12 years, India’s respect and recognition worldwide have significantly increased. Today, India is viewed differently on the global stage, with honor and dignity, and is poised to play a leading role among nations.”
BJP MP Anurag Thakur from Una, Himachal Pradesh, expressed, “On behalf of 1.4 billion Indians, I extend heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for his leadership. Over the last 12 years, he has elevated India to new heights and provided a governance model focused on accountability and good administration.”
MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar from Mysuru, Karnataka, stated, “PM Modi’s service to the country has been exceptional, directly improving the lives of Indians from all walks of life.”
In Patna, JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar commented, “The opportunity to work according to the public mandate is invaluable. Prime Minister Modi’s tenure has now surpassed that of Nehru. Bihar Minister Dilip Kumar Jaiswal in Patna stated, “The world’s most popular leader and India’s most successful Prime Minister has completed a remarkable 12-year tenure. India’s name resonates globally, and the entire nation takes pride in the fact that our leader, Narendra Modi, has broken all records to become the longest-serving Prime Minister.”
BJP Delhi President Harsh Malhotra said, “It is a matter of great pride for all of us that today Narendra Modi has surpassed Jawaharlal Nehru’s tenure to become the longest-serving elected Prime Minister. Across the country, 1.4 billion people are praying to their deities for the Prime Minister’s long life, good health, and continued dedication to service.”
In Jamnagar, Gujarat, MLA Divyesh Akbari noted, “Elected Prime Minister Narendra Modi has completed 3,499 days in office as of June 10, 2026, securing his place in history as the longest-serving Prime Minister. This achievement coincides with the celebration of the country’s 12-year development journey from 2014 to 2026.”
Gujarat Minister Rivaba Jadeja added, “On behalf of the BJP team in Jamnagar, I extend heartfelt congratulations to the Prime Minister and wish him a long life and good health. His tenure has included many initiatives focused on public participation, with the Swachh Bharat Mission being a significant highlight. Today, all BJP councilors and officials in Jamnagar have launched a cleanliness campaign.”
BJP leader Brijbhushan Sharan Singh from Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, stated, “The completion of a 12-year term by the Prime Minister of a full majority BJP government is a record in itself. Therefore, I want to congratulate Prime Minister Modi and his government.”
