The third quarter saw England dominating the game, launching a series of attacking shots. However, Savita Punia remained resolute in goal, repeatedly denying England’s attempts. The English team earned multiple penalty corners but failed to convert any into goals.
The fourth quarter began with a strong showing from the Indian team, but soon the English side regained control. England was awarded two consecutive penalty corners, but Savita and India’s robust defense successfully blocked both attempts. With this draw, India advanced to the next round, while England’s journey in the tournament came to an end. Post-match, the English players were visibly emotional on the field.
