Dambulla, June 21: The final match of the Tri-Series between India A and Sri Lanka A is taking place at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium. Batting first, the Indian team scored an impressive 377 runs, losing 9 wickets in the process. Vaibhav Suryavanshi delivered a spectacular performance for India A.
After losing the toss, India A got off to a blazing start thanks to Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Priyansh Arya. The duo put together a remarkable 132-run partnership for the first wicket in just 8.5 overs. Priyansh faced 29 balls, hitting 6 fours and a six to score 39 runs. Meanwhile, Vaibhav showcased an aggressive batting style, achieving the fastest fifty in List A cricket history. He reached his half-century in just 11 balls and went on to score a powerful 94 runs off 29 balls, boasting a strike rate of 324 with 10 fours and 8 sixes.
Ruturaj Gaikwad failed to capitalize on the strong start, getting out after scoring 40 runs off 51 balls. Captain Tilak Varma played a crucial role, scoring 67 runs off 90 balls in a solid innings. He and Ruturaj formed an important partnership, adding 84 runs for the third wicket in 106 balls. Tilak hit 4 fours and a six during his innings.
