India A Dominates Sri Lanka A with a Stellar 377 Runs in Tri-Series Final

Dambulla, June 21: The final match of the Tri-Series between India A and Sri Lanka A is taking place at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium. Batting first, the Indian team scored an impressive 377 runs, losing 9 wickets in the process. Vaibhav Suryavanshi delivered a spectacular performance for India A.

After losing the toss, India A got off to a blazing start thanks to Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Priyansh Arya. The duo put together a remarkable 132-run partnership for the first wicket in just 8.5 overs. Priyansh faced 29 balls, hitting 6 fours and a six to score 39 runs. Meanwhile, Vaibhav showcased an aggressive batting style, achieving the fastest fifty in List A cricket history. He reached his half-century in just 11 balls and went on to score a powerful 94 runs off 29 balls, boasting a strike rate of 324 with 10 fours and 8 sixes.

Ruturaj Gaikwad failed to capitalize on the strong start, getting out after scoring 40 runs off 51 balls. Captain Tilak Varma played a crucial role, scoring 67 runs off 90 balls in a solid innings. He and Ruturaj formed an important partnership, adding 84 runs for the third wicket in 106 balls. Tilak hit 4 fours and a six during his innings. Kumar Kushagra contributed 36 runs off 39 balls, while Suryansh Shedge managed only 2 runs before being dismissed. Nishant Sindhu added 16 runs, and Vipraj Nigam chipped in with 27 runs.

In the final overs, Anukul Roy played aggressively, scoring 39 runs off just 15 balls. He maintained a strike rate of 260, hitting 1 four and 4 sixes. Yash Thakur remained not out with 2 runs. For Sri Lanka, Kugathas Mathulan, Wanuda Sahan, and Ravindu Fernando each took two wickets, while Mohammad Shiraz claimed one wicket.
