Imran Masood Questions Controversy Over Biryani Incident in Varanasi

Saharanpur, March 19: The controversy surrounding a group of Muslim youths throwing leftover biryani and iftar remnants into the Ganges River in Varanasi has intensified. Congress leader Imran Masood raised questions about why such a significant uproar is occurring. He emphasized that there is no need to escalate the issue further.

In an interview on Thursday, he remarked that the degradation of the Ganges is well-known. Waste is continuously dumped into the river, yet the government has not taken any action in this regard. He pointed out that while the government has failed to address this issue, the youths were arrested for merely conducting iftar. He criticized the police for their heavy-handed approach, suggesting that they would not only arrest these youths but also use force, particularly because they belong to the Muslim community.

Masood also criticized the youths for choosing to perform iftar by the Ganges. He questioned their decision, suggesting they could have chosen a different location or simply held iftar at home. He expressed concern that these individuals seem to harbor animosity towards the Muslim community, and their actions appear to be driven by an agenda against it. In this context, he argued that they should not have gone to the river for iftar.

Additionally, Masood took aim at Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, advising him to refrain from overly supporting the Prime Minister, as it would not benefit him. He noted that the recent escalation of conflict following the Prime Minister’s visit to Israel has affected India, leading to long queues among the public.

He asserted that Iran will not lose the war, a stance he has maintained since the beginning of the conflict. He highlighted the internal strife in the United States, where resignations are becoming increasingly common.

Masood concluded by stating that if someone has resigned themselves to death, there is little that can be done to change their fate. He noted that former President Trump is not visiting Israel but is instead making statements from the U.S.
