
Jaipur, March 19: On the occasion of Rajasthan Day, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma launched a fleet of 207 new buses to strengthen public transport in the state. The flag-off ceremony took place at the Ajmer Road bus terminal, attended by Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Baid, Jaipur MP Manju Sharma, and Minister Jogaram Patel.
After inspecting the new fleet, Chief Minister Bhajanlal performed a traditional puja and then flagged off the buses. The fleet includes 100 blue line buses, 79 non-AC buses, and 28 AC buses, significantly enhancing connectivity in both rural and urban areas of the state.
In a post on his social media account X, the Chief Minister stated, “A significant step towards providing easy, safe, and modern travel for the residents of the state! Today, on the auspicious occasion of Rajasthan Day, I flagged off 207 new buses from the Ajmer Road bus terminal under the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation.”
Additionally, to raise awareness about road safety, 700 women received helmets as ‘Road Safety Ambassadors.’ The government is committed to improving connectivity across the state and ensuring the safety of its citizens.
The new buses will also reinstate several previously closed routes, making travel even more convenient for passengers. Designed with passenger comfort and safety in mind, these buses will operate on various long-distance and intercity routes, providing a comfortable and secure travel experience.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of helmet use to enhance road safety, aiming to reduce accidents and strengthen adherence to traffic rules.
