New Delhi, October 19 (Daily Kiran) : The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has opened up exciting job opportunities for those looking to work in non-teaching roles. An official notification has been released detailing 14 vacancies, with the deadline for applications set for November 2, 2026.
Among the positions available are two Assistant Directors, four Technical Managers, and eight Technical Assistants. The Technical Assistant roles include various specializations: two for Learning Management System (LMS), two for Networking, one for Animator, one for Game Designer, one for Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality Application Development, and one for Artificial Intelligence. The Technical Manager positions encompass one each for LMS, Networking, Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality Application Development, and Artificial Intelligence. The Assistant Director roles consist of one for LMS and one for Networking.
The online application process began on October 3, and candidates interested in these positions can complete their registration through the official IGNOU website until the deadline. After successfully submitting their online applications, candidates must send a hard copy of the application form, along with all relevant documents, to the Recruitment Cell at IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi – 110068, by November 12.
Applicants must hold a degree in BE (CS/IT), B.Tech (CS/IT), MSc (CS/IT), or MCA from a recognized institution, with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade. Additionally, candidates must have 3 to 10 years of relevant experience, depending on the position.
The maximum age limit is set at 48 years for Assistant Directors, 42 years for Technical Managers, and 37 years for Technical Assistants, calculated as of the application deadline. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Selection will be based on a Computer-Based Test (CBT), written examination, skill test, or interview. Selected candidates can expect a monthly salary ranging from ₹9,300 to ₹39,100, along with grade pay between ₹4,800 and ₹5,400, plus additional benefits.
During the application process, candidates will need to pay an application fee online, which is set at ₹1,000 for unreserved/OBC (NCL)/EWS candidates and ₹500 for SC/ST/PH/ex-servicemen/women.
