Honoring the Spirit of Sonam Wangchuk: CPI(ML) MP Raja Ram Singh Speaks Out

New Delhi, July 19: CPI(ML) MP Raja Ram Singh expressed his admiration for Sonam Wangchuk and his fellow activists during a conversation on Saturday. He condemned the actions of the Delhi police, describing them as highly oppressive.

Singh stated, “I have come to raise my voice in solidarity with Sonam Wangchuk, Neha, Manish, Amin, and all other comrades.” He announced a Parliament march on July 20, where students and youth will unite to support their cause. “We will stand with them from the streets to Parliament, striving to amplify their voices. This movement has become the focal point for the youth of our nation today.”

He emphasized that the demands presented by the youth must be taken seriously by the government. “The government must acknowledge these demands, and Dharmendra Pradhan should resign on moral grounds. Our educated youth deserve respectable employment; otherwise, the youth of this country will take to the streets against this government, compelled to continue this fight until the end.”

Singh noted the remarkable courage displayed by student leaders in voicing their concerns. “Student leaders are raising women’s issues, and Neha has become a heroine of India by articulating their feelings.”

Having been part of the farmers’ movement and its coordinating committee, Singh expressed solidarity with farmers. “The farmers stand with the youth in this struggle.”

In response to Sonam Wangchuk’s hospitalization by the Delhi police, Acharya Lokesh Muni, founder of Ahimsa Vishwabharati, shared his concerns. “Everyone is worried about Sonam Wangchuk’s health. Our courts have also expressed concern, prompting the government to act, as every life is precious.”

Muni described Wangchuk as an inspiring individual and expressed hope for his swift recovery, believing he will continue to work for the nation’s benefit. “We are striving to make India divine and grand.”
