Honor has begun teasing the launch of the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air in China, marking a new addition to its Magic 8 series that already includes the Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro, released in October 2025. This upcoming model is designed as a compact smartphone packed with high-end specifications.
According to leaked information from Chinese tech insiders, the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air will feature a slim and lightweight build, measuring just 6.3mm in thickness and weighing approximately 158 grams. It is expected to come with a 6.3-inch flat OLED display offering a 1.5K resolution, catering to users who prefer smaller phones without compromising on display quality. The device is also said to run on MagicOS 10 based on Android 16.
Under the hood, the Magic 8 Pro Air is rumored to be powered by the Dimensity 9500k chipset. It will reportedly include a 5,500mAh battery supporting 90W fast charging, although wireless charging might not be available. Camera details have yet to be confirmed, but leaks suggest the phone will feature a telephoto lens, continuing the Magic series’ reputation for strong photography capabilities.
The new model is likely to be offered in several colours such as black, white, purple, and orange. Reports indicate that the device’s slimness and weight could vary slightly depending on the colour variant selected.
Regarding its launch, industry sources expect the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air to debut alongside the Magic 8 RSR, a premium variant of the Magic 8 Pro, before the Chinese New Year on February 17, 2026.
