Beijing, July 30: Chinese President Xi Jinping extended his congratulations to Carlos Vila Nova on his re-election as President of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe.
In his message, Xi noted that in recent years, the relationship between China and São Tomé and Príncipe has shown positive development. Both sides have continuously strengthened mutual political trust and supported each other’s core interests and significant concerns. They have also achieved remarkable accomplishments in practical cooperation across various sectors.
Xi emphasized the importance he places on the development of China-São Tomé and Príncipe relations. He expressed his readiness to work with President Nova to implement the achievements of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum’s Beijing Summit, aiming to elevate the strategic partnership between the two nations to new heights for the benefit of their peoples.
