Ranchi, March 3: On the auspicious occasion of Holi, Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth extended his greetings to citizens across the nation. He urged everyone to celebrate this festival by setting aside past grievances and differences.
In a conversation, Seth described Holi as a beautiful and joyous festival that brings people closer together. He emphasized that it is a time to forget old resentments and embrace one another. “No matter the disagreements or disputes throughout the year, Holi serves as a moment to reconcile,” he stated.
Seth highlighted the historical significance of Holi, noting that it has been celebrated for centuries and should be observed with great enthusiasm. He remarked, “People should celebrate not only Holi but also other religious festivals like Diwali, Shivratri, and Sawan. Some individuals object to our celebrations, claiming, ‘Don’t celebrate Holi; it wastes water.’ I ask them how much water they use to wash their cars or water their gardens. When Diwali comes, they say, ‘Don’t celebrate Holi,’ yet they celebrate on December 25 and 31 with fireworks. What about that?”
He also mentioned the importance of offering milk to Lord Bholenath, as his name signifies innocence.
Sanjay Seth referred to the ‘Namo Shri Anna Holi Milan Samaroh,’ which has seen thousands of participants since 2023. He praised the Prime Minister’s commitment to millets and coarse grains, stating that grains like bajra, jowar, ragi, and maize are now readily available. This initiative will promote health and self-reliance among small farmers.
Wishing everyone a joyful Holi, Seth concluded, “May this festival bring happiness to all. The grandest celebration of Holi will occur on August 15, 2047, when the Prime Minister’s vision for a developed India comes to fruition. On that day, the entire nation will be painted in the colors of progress.”
