Hindustan Copper Limited Welcomes New Leadership Under Anupam Mishra

New Delhi, July 1: Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), a public sector enterprise, has appointed a new leader. Experienced management expert Anupam Mishra assumed the role of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) on Wednesday. The company is optimistic that under his leadership, HCL will accelerate its growth and enhance its role in strengthening the nation’s mineral and copper security.

Anupam Mishra brings over three decades of management experience. He is recognized as an expert in strategic planning, marketing, international business, and business development. According to HCL, his expertise will benefit the company in expanding operations, increasing production capacity, and achieving long-term business goals.

He holds a B.Tech (Honors) degree in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, and completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow. Additionally, he has completed Executive Management Programs from IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Calcutta.

Throughout his professional career of over 33 years, Mishra has worked in various sectors, including minerals, metals, chemicals, engineering products, and project business. His expertise in marketing, international trade, and business strategy has gained widespread recognition in the industry.

Before joining Hindustan Copper Limited, Anupam Mishra served as Director (Marketing) at Fertilizers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT) from July 2020 to June 2026. During this time, he also held additional responsibilities as the company’s CMD. In his board-level leadership role, he played a crucial part in steering the company’s business strategies and marketing activities in a new direction.

Immediately after taking charge, Anupam Mishra held a meeting with HCL’s functional directors to review the company’s operational and strategic priorities. He also engaged in discussions with various department heads at the corporate office and held virtual meetings with heads of different units to discuss ongoing projects, operational challenges, and future growth plans.

He expressed his commitment to working with the team to accelerate the company’s growth roadmap, improve production capacity, enhance operational efficiency, and strengthen India’s mineral and copper security.
