Mumbai, July 30: Actor Himansh Kohli is set to make waves in theaters with his upcoming film ‘Aryabhatt Ka Zero.’ In a recent conversation, he shared how Hrithik Roshan’s performance in ‘Super 30’ left a lasting impression on him.
He stated, “I was greatly influenced by ‘Super 30,’ and I appreciated Hrithik’s performance just as much as everyone else did. The character of Anand Kumar, a teacher and mathematician, was both inspiring and touching. I believe that when you portray an ordinary citizen, it becomes challenging to convince people that you can take on such roles, as audiences often struggle to accept you in these characters.”
Reflecting on ‘Super 30,’ he noted, “Hrithik’s performance in that film was distinct from his other roles, and the story revolved around students. It depicted their struggles and academic journey, while our film has a slightly different narrative. Our story is centered around a family environment, yet it addresses the themes of education and the struggles faced by students today.”
In ‘Aryabhatt Ka Zero,’ Himansh plays the role of a common young man named Brahmagupt Srivastava, affectionately called ‘Baggu,’ who is perceived as a ‘zero’ (failure) by his father. The film showcases the bittersweet relationship between father and son, their dreams of becoming an IAS officer, and the inspiring journey of rising again after life’s setbacks.
Set against the backdrop of Dehradun, the film is directed by Kamal Chandra. It features a talented cast, including Sonali Saigal, Ravi Kishan, Shilpa Shinde, Darshana Banik, Rajesh Sharma, Gopal Dutt, and Neeraj Sood.
Produced under the banners of Newtech Media Entertainment, Radhika Ji Films, Sunil Sihag Gora Films, and A2R Films, the film is a collaborative effort by Virendra Bhagat, Ravi S. Gupta, Sanjay Nagpal, and Shiv Balak Singh. Co-producers include Sunil Sihag, Triloki Nath Prasad, the late Kuldeep Bhandari, Akanksha Rahul Sharma, and Rita Gadge. ‘Aryabhatt Ka Zero’ is set to release in theaters on August 7.
