Hyderabad, July 30: The major shooting segment of director Sampath Nandi’s period action film ‘Bhogi’ has been successfully completed. The film stars actor Sharwanand in the lead role. According to sources close to the production team, the climax scene has now been filmed.
The climax shoot lasted for an impressive 22 consecutive days, taking place on an elaborate set designed by production designer Kiran Kumar Manne. The team dedicated nearly three months to prepare this extensive setup.
In this grand action sequence, over 800 junior artists participated. Industry insiders revealed that producer K.K. Radhamohan spared no expense or effort, ensuring that every aspect of the film was of the highest quality. The action, sets, lighting, and cinematography are all world-class.
Sources indicate that the climax features several breathtaking action sequences choreographed by renowned stunt master Dilip Subbarayan. His choreography is so powerful that it is expected to leave audiences breathless in theaters, providing a unique and thrilling experience.
In ‘Bhogi’, Sharwanand portrays a character named Ganga. Reports suggest that he has delivered one of the best performances of his career in this role, dedicating significant effort to prepare. He spent over two and a half hours on makeup before shooting and nearly an hour to remove it afterward.
The climax was shot by acclaimed cinematographer Kishore Kumar, enhancing the visual appeal of the scenes. The background score, composed by Bhims Cesiroleo, is said to elevate both the action and emotional elements of the film.
Alongside Sharwanand, the film features two leading ladies—Anupama Parameswaran and Dimple Hayathi. The makers have already released their first looks. Anupama plays the character ‘Kandula Sulochana Rani’, a vibrant woman deeply connected to nature, who sustains herself by making plates from leaves. Dimple portrays ‘Mandaram’, a bold and powerful character who lives life on her own terms, unconcerned with societal expectations.
Set in the early 1960s, the story unfolds in a fictional village located on the border of Telangana and Maharashtra. ‘Bhogi’ is slated for a nationwide release on August 28, 2026, in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi languages.
