High-Speed Car Crash in Indore Leaves Five Injured

Indore, August 26: A high-speed Innova car collided with multiple vehicles in the Rau area of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on Wednesday, injuring at least five people.

The incident occurred around noon near the Shramik Colony when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle while speeding. According to police, the car first hit an Activa scooter and then struck three motorcycles. Following the collisions, the driver allegedly continued to drive, dragging some victims for nearly 200 feet in an attempt to flee the scene.

The Innova eventually crashed into an oncoming tractor. The impact was so severe that the tractor overturned and landed on the opposite side of the road. The injured individuals have been identified as Rajpal Singh, Bhagat Singh, Pawan, Mustafa, and another person. They were promptly taken to a nearby private hospital for treatment.

Upon receiving news of the accident, ACP Nidhi Saxena arrived at the scene with police personnel. Saxena stated, “The injured have been admitted to the hospital and are receiving treatment. The Innova has been seized, and the driver is in custody.”

The driver, identified as Aman, was taken to the Rau police station for questioning. Authorities are investigating the incident and recording eyewitness statements to determine the causes of the multiple collisions. Police have also confiscated the damaged vehicles as part of the ongoing investigation.

The accident caused panic in the area and temporarily disrupted traffic. Police arrived promptly to secure the scene and clear the road of debris while assisting the injured. Further updates on the victims’ conditions and the legal charges against the driver are awaited.
