New Delhi (Udaipur Kiran). The Punjab and Haryana High Court has dismissed a petition seeking a change in the title of Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming film 120 Bahadur. The plea demanded that the film be renamed 120 Veer Ahir, but the court refused to intervene.

The petition was heard on Monday, 17 November. During the hearing, the court questioned the petitioner and clarified that the film aims to honour all 120 soldiers who fought in the historic Battle of Rezang La.
What the Chief Justice Said
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the Chief Justice asked why people were being overly sensitive about the film’s name. The court noted that the bravery of the soldiers would be depicted in the film itself, which runs for a few hours.
Producers’ Response
Abhinav Sood, representing Excel Entertainment, informed the court that the film has already been cleared by both the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and the Ministry of Defence. He argued that the public interest litigation was based solely on a three-minute trailer. He also assured the court that all 120 soldiers would be acknowledged in the film’s credits and narrative.
120 Bahadur showcases the valour of 120 soldiers of the 13 Kumaon Regiment, who fought with unwavering courage during the Battle of Rezang La in the 1962 war.
The film is directed by Rajneesh ‘Raazi’ Ghai and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani. It is scheduled for release in theatres on 21 November.
