Washington, April 1: U.S. President Donald Trump is set to address the nation regarding the ongoing conflict with Iran. According to the White House, Trump will speak on Wednesday night (Thursday morning in India) to provide crucial updates on the current situation.
White House Press Secretary Carolina Levitt announced, “At 9 PM (U.S. time) on Wednesday, President Trump will address the nation to give an important update on Iran.”
This address comes as the military campaign against Iran, led by the U.S. and Israel, enters its second month. Recent days have seen growing discontent among the American public regarding the conflict.
Reports suggest that the Trump administration is considering sending U.S. troops into Iran. The mission aims to secure Iran’s highly enriched uranium. It is anticipated that this operation could last several days and involve specially trained commando units tasked with extracting radioactive materials.
However, such a mission would take American soldiers deep into Iranian territory, exposing them to threats from Iranian short-range missiles and drone attacks.
Meanwhile, military activities have intensified. On Tuesday, the U.S. launched an attack on a city in Iran that houses one of the country’s major nuclear facilities. The Isfahan nuclear energy center had previously been targeted in June by U.S. B-2 bombers and a submarine. Experts believe that most of Iran’s enriched uranium is stored at this facility.
On the diplomatic front, Tehran has adopted a cautious stance. Ismail Bakai, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, stated that there has been no direct communication with the U.S. in the past 31 days.
He noted that a proposal for talks from the U.S. has reached Iran through some intermediaries, including Pakistan.
Currently, the White House has not disclosed full details about Trump’s upcoming address, but it is expected to reveal America’s next strategy regarding the conflict.
