Milan, November 4 (Daily Kiran): Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility arm Vida has officially unveiled its first electric motorcycle, the VX2, at the EICMA 2025 show in Milan. The company also showcased a range of innovative electric concepts under its expanding Vida and Novus sub-brands, signaling Hero’s aggressive global push in the EV segment.

The Vida VX2 has been launched for the European market, with pre-bookings now open and deliveries expected to begin soon. The VX2 marks Hero’s entry into the premium electric motorcycle category, designed for urban riders seeking both performance and sustainability.
Vida Ubex Concept: Designed for Urban Exploration
Among the key highlights was the Vida Ubex concept, derived from the term “Urban Exploration.” The Ubex is a city-focused EV inspired by supermoto-style motorcycles, offering an upright stance and superior ride comfort suited for agile urban commuting. Vida says the model prioritizes everyday usability with strong ergonomics and ride quality.
Vida VXZ: Co-developed with Zero Motorcycles
Vida also unveiled the VXZ, developed in partnership with Zero Motorcycles, the renowned American electric bike manufacturer. While Hero has kept most specifications under wraps, this collaboration hints at a high-performance e-motorcycle platform that could challenge established global players in the segment.
Dirt.E K3 and Dirt.E MX7: Electric Off-Road Lineup
Hero’s electric range now extends to younger riders as well. The company showcased the Dirt.E K3, an electric dirt bike for children aged 4 to 10 years. Inspired by the earlier Acro concept, the bike features an adjustable wheelbase and rider triangle. It is expected to launch in India soon.
For off-road enthusiasts, Vida introduced the Dirt.E MX7, a full-sized dirt bike built on a lightweight carbon-fiber frame, designed for advanced riders seeking performance and durability in rugged terrains.
Vida Novus Sub-Brand: The Future of Mobility
Under its Vida Novus sub-brand, Hero also revealed a futuristic lineup of compact mobility solutions:
-
Nex 1: A smart backpack that transforms into a compact electric scooter, ideal for short urban commutes.
-
Nex 2: A three-wheeled electric scooter, combining the stability of a trike with the agility of a city commuter, resembling a compact all-electric version of the Piaggio MP3.
-
Nex 3: A small electric city car, representing Hero’s vision beyond two-wheelers and into broader urban electric mobility.
Hero MotoCorp’s Vida brand has thus positioned itself at the forefront of innovation, combining design, technology, and sustainability to redefine the future of personal transport both in India and globally.
