New Delhi, October 13 (Daily Kiran) : In a shocking incident in New Delhi, a notorious criminal named Monish was shot and killed by assailants on motorcycles in the Vikas Nagar area on Sunday. Following the attack, the assailants fled the scene, prompting the police to register a murder case and initiate an investigation.
Authorities have secured footage from nearby CCTV cameras that captured the suspects during the attack. Police officials reported that the information about the incident reached the Ranihoula police station around 5:30 PM. The suspects have been identified, and efforts are underway to apprehend them.
Monish, a resident of Vikas Nagar, was known to have a criminal background, with ten cases registered against him, including extortion, robbery, and theft. He was a declared criminal in the eyes of the Ranihoula police. The shooting occurred when Monish arrived at the Pradhan Chowk to meet someone; he was ambushed and shot multiple times by the motorbike-riding assailants. He was rushed to the nearby Mata Chanan Devi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by doctors.
Police officials confirmed that they are actively pursuing the identified suspects, who also have prior criminal records. The investigation into the murder is ongoing.
In a related incident, a brutal murder took place in the Dhuban Bapudham area of Ghaziabad, where a woman was killed by her husband, father-in-law, and mother-in-law using an iron rod. Daily disputes over trivial matters, including cooking, led to the tragic event. The suspects have been arrested following a complaint filed by the victim’s brother.
The police are continuing their investigations in both cases to ensure justice is served.
