Unseasonal Rain Brings Relief to Delhi-NCR with Improved Air Quality
Unseasonal rains in Delhi-NCR have led to a drop in temperatures and improved air quality, providing relief to residents.

New Delhi, October 13 (Daily Kiran) : Recent days have seen a sudden shift in weather patterns across Delhi-NCR. The combination of a western disturbance and cyclonic winds has transformed the climate, resulting in unseasonal rain and strong breezes. This change has led to a noticeable drop in temperatures in the region.
According to the India Meteorological Department’s local weather report and forecast, pleasant weather is expected in the coming days. On October 14, the maximum temperature is predicted to reach 34 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 22 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels are expected to fluctuate between 90 and 65 percent, with partly cloudy skies.
A slight decrease in temperature is anticipated on October 15, with highs around 32 degrees Celsius and lows remaining at 22 degrees Celsius. By October 16, daytime temperatures may drop further to 31 degrees Celsius, while nighttime lows are expected to settle at 21 degrees Celsius.
The weather department indicates a gradual decrease in humidity starting October 17, which will range from 85 to 60 percent. Temperatures are predicted to remain between 32 degrees and 21 degrees Celsius. By October 18, further improvements in weather conditions are expected, with maximum temperatures potentially dropping to 33 degrees Celsius and minimums to 20 degrees Celsius.
Throughout these days, the skies will remain partly cloudy, and no weather warnings have been issued. One of the most significant impacts of this weather change is the onset of mild cold, often referred to as “pink chill,” felt during the mornings and evenings. The heavy rains and winds have also cleared the air in Delhi-NCR, significantly reducing pollution levels. As a result, residents are experiencing notable improvements in air quality.
Meteorologists suggest that this pleasant weather is likely to continue for several days. While the unseasonal rains have raised concerns among farmers, they have proven to be a welcome relief for urban residents.
