Ahmedabad, October 11 (Daily Kiran) : The Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and the Valsad Special Operations Group (SOG) have apprehended three additional suspects in the murder case of social media influencer and makeup artist Madhu Sudhan Singh, known as Madhu Sandhu. The suspects, identified as Harsimranjeet Singh, also known as Simu Singga, Fateh Singh, and Armaan Singh, were arrested in Vapi, located in Gujarat’s Valsad district.
According to the Gujarat ATS, Madhu Sandhu was shot dead on October 3 near a car wash on Lorahka Road in Amritsar. The attack was carried out by two unidentified assailants. A case was subsequently registered at the Cantonment Police Station in Amritsar.
Information about the suspects was provided to the ATS by senior officials from Punjab’s Crime Investigation Agency (CIA), prompting an investigation in Gujarat. Under the supervision of Superintendent of Police K. Siddharth, Deputy Superintendent of Police Harsh Upadhyay and Police Inspector Kripesh Patel led the inquiry.
During the investigation, it was discovered that the three suspects were present in Vapi. They are residents of Sanghe village in the Tarn Taran district of Punjab.
Concerned about the suspects possibly fleeing the area, the Gujarat ATS shared their identities, locations, and other relevant information with the Valsad SOG. Following this, a team led by Police Inspector D.D. Parmar detained the three individuals in Vapi.
The suspects were then taken to the ATS office for questioning. During the interrogation, the ATS gathered information regarding the suspects’ alleged roles in the murder, the reconnaissance conducted prior to the crime, and other related aspects.
Subsequently, Punjab police were informed about the suspects’ custody. On October 10, a team from Punjab Police arrived at the Gujarat ATS office and took the suspects into their custody for further legal proceedings. The investigation is now under the jurisdiction of Punjab Police.
Earlier, on October 8, the Ahmedabad Crime Branch arrested Parminder Prasad, known as Parminder Kaka, from the Vadodara area. He is alleged to be the main shooter in the case, with his arrest based on information received from Amritsar police.
Crime branch officials stated that Parminder is accused of firing at Madhu Sandhu and arranging the motorcycle used in the attack. After his arrest, Punjab Police took him to Amritsar for further investigation.
Authorities are also probing potential links between this murder and the network of foreign-based gangster Goldy Dhillon. The investigation into the suspects’ roles and their alleged connections to this network is ongoing.
