Greater Noida Police Recovers 104 Lost Mobile Phones Worth ₹21 Lakh

Greater Noida, September 19 (Daily Kiran) : In a significant operation, the Greater Noida Police has successfully recovered 104 lost mobile phones, valued at approximately ₹21 lakh, bringing relief to many residents. This initiative, named ‘Mission Saayog’, has been executed under the guidance of Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh and Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Nim.

On September 19, the police returned all recovered phones to their rightful owners. Many individuals expressed their gratitude towards the Gautam Buddh Nagar police, praising their effective approach. Investigations revealed that most of the lost phones had gone missing under various circumstances, often in crowded areas or weekly markets.

Several phones were reported lost while individuals were riding two-wheelers or during evening walks. Additionally, many users accidentally left their devices in vehicles like autos, taxis, buses, metros, and e-rickshaws. Following the loss, concerned citizens had filed reports at different police stations across Greater Noida.

To track down the missing devices, the surveillance cell of the Greater Noida Police utilized technical analysis. They employed the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal to initiate the tracing process. Leveraging technical data and surveillance methods, the police team successfully located and recovered the phones from various locations.

According to police reports, all 104 mobile phones have now been returned to their owners, providing relief to those who had sought police assistance after losing their devices. The Greater Noida Police reiterated their commitment to using technological resources continuously under ‘Mission Saayog’ to recover lost and stolen mobile phones. With the help of the CEIR portal and surveillance systems, they have achieved notable success in tracking down these devices.

The return of the mobile phones has brought immense joy to the owners, who emphasized the importance of their devices in their daily lives.
