Varanasi, April 22: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived in Varanasi on Tuesday for a two-day visit. In anticipation of the Prime Minister’s potential visit, he held a review meeting at the Circuit House. During this meeting, he provided essential directives to senior officials from the administration and police. He emphasized the timely completion of all preparations for the women’s conference scheduled during his visit.

The Chief Minister highlighted the need for proper arrangements regarding women’s access to the event, vehicle parking, and drinking water facilities. He stressed the importance of maintaining cleanliness not just at the event site but throughout the city. Additionally, he instructed that street dogs and stray animals be sheltered appropriately. Proper management of street vendors was also a priority.

Yogi Adityanath placed special emphasis on ensuring robust security measures for the event. He directed the implementation of effective route diversions to avoid any inconvenience to the public. During the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner S. Rajalingam provided information via a presentation about the projects that would be inaugurated and laid down during the Prime Minister’s visit.

While reviewing the progress of the ropeway project, the Chief Minister instructed for expedited work. He also called for the rapid completion of the under-construction international cricket stadium in Ganjari. The Divisional Commissioner informed that the stadium’s construction would be completed by the first week of July. The Chief Minister urged for accelerated work on the road widening projects at Manikarnika Ghat and Dalmandi, ensuring quality and timely completion.

The meeting was attended by Labor and Employment Minister Anil Rajbhar, Stamp State Minister (Independent Charge) Ravindra Jaiswal, District Panchayat President Poonam Maurya, Mayor Ashok Tiwari, Legislative Council member Hansraj Vishwakarma, and various other officials from the administration and police.
