Four Family Members Murdered in Telangana: Relative Arrested by Police

Hyderabad, June 27: In a shocking incident in Nalgonda, Telangana, police have arrested four suspects in the murder of four family members. The arrests were made public on Friday, following an extensive investigation.

According to police reports, the main accused conspired with his wife, a friend, and a jeweler to commit the crime due to personal grudges, financial difficulties, and the intention to steal cash and gold jewelry.

Superintendent of Police Sharat Chandra Pawar stated that the case was solved within three days, aided by CCTV footage, technical evidence, and forensic investigations.

The victims have been identified as Mohammad Sultan (45), his wife Hasina (38), their son Mujammil (20), and daughter Apsara (14). Their bodies were discovered in a decomposed state at their residence in Telangana Colony on June 22.

Investigations revealed that Syed Aslam, a relative of the victims, was responsible for the murders, which took place on June 20. Police also arrested his wife Tabassum and two accomplices, Sohail and Hemant Kumar.

Reports indicate that Hasina had lent Aslam and Tabassum a loan of 100,000 rupees a year ago. When Aslam requested another loan of the same amount, Hasina refused and demanded repayment of the previous loan. This disagreement escalated into a deadly plot.

Further inquiries uncovered that Aslam had planned the attack after watching videos on YouTube. On the morning of June 20, he lay in wait outside Sultan’s home. When Hasina exited, he attacked her. Hearing her screams, Sultan and Mujammil rushed outside, but they were also stabbed to death.

The 14-year-old Apsara, who was hiding under a bed inside the house, was also brutally murdered. After the killings, the assailants stole cash and jewelry before fleeing the scene.

Neighbors alerted the police due to a foul smell, leading to the discovery of the bodies. Initially, the case appeared to be a suicide, but the post-mortem report confirmed it as a homicide. Following the investigation, police interrogated relatives, leading to the arrest of all four suspects.

Authorities recovered a car, 3.004 million rupees, five tolas of melted gold, the murder weapon, three mobile phones, blood-stained clothing, and land and bank documents from the suspects.

All accused have been presented in court and are now in judicial custody.
