Ranchi, September 7 (Daily Kiran) : Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Babulal Marandi has raised concerns over the government’s response to the JSSC-CGL exam scandal. He specifically pointed fingers at Chief Minister Hemant Soren for his reluctance to take action against former Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Gupta. Marandi accused Gupta of attempting to influence the investigation, misdirecting the case, and destroying digital evidence.
In a post on social media platform X, Marandi questioned why Soren has not acted against Gupta, despite the serious allegations. He highlighted Gupta’s efforts to refute claims made by students regarding a paper leak and his attempts to publicly dismiss these accusations.
Marandi emphasized that the youth and unemployed individuals of Jharkhand are seeking answers to these pressing questions. He argued that it is difficult to trust the CID investigation’s integrity when serious doubts loom over an official’s role in potentially compromising it.
The BJP leader called for a fair investigation into the matter. He insisted that if the allegations against Gupta are substantiated, strict legal action should follow. Marandi urged the government to demonstrate courage, considering the future of millions of unemployed youths in the state. He warned that failing to act against officials accused of influencing investigations could lead to a lack of accountability, allowing such misconduct to continue unchecked.
